Asad Qaiser lays foundation for welfare centre
SWABI: Senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and former speaker of the National Assembly, Asad Qaiser, formally laid the foundation stone of the “Rasheeda Begum Sukh Sanjh Welfare Centre here on Saturday.
The centre is named after his mother, Rasheeda Begum, and is being established with the noble objective of women empowerment.
Under the “Rasheeda Sukh Centre,” women will be trained in entrepreneurship, computer skills, leadership and other technical and professional competencies to help them become self-reliant and economically strong.
Speaking at the ceremony, Asad Qaiser thanked former chief of air staff Sohail Aman, and renowned educationist Dr Shagufta Jabeen, whose efforts are turning the dream of Alamabad Welfare City into reality. He paid tribute to the courage and bravery of the Pakistan Air Force and its significant role during the recent Pakistan-India tensions, stating, “Today, we can proudly say to the world that we are Pakistanis.”
