DSO suspended over misconduct

LAHORE : Provincial Minister for Sports, Youth Affairs and Labour Punjab Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar on Saturday has issued the immediate suspension of Khanewal District Sports Officer (DSO) M Hafeez following allegations of misconduct with players at Khanewal Gymnasium.
The Punjab Sports Department launched the operation after receiving complaints about the officer’s alleged treatment of athletes.
Faisal Khokhar has directed the DG Sports Punjab to initiate a departmental inquiry to uncover the facts and prevent similar incidents in the future. “Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has issued strict instructions, reinforcing that misconduct with players will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
