NANKANA SAHIB: Regional Police Officer Sheikhupura Range Athar Ismail visited Nankana Sahib district on Wednesday.
He held open courts at Syedwala and Mangtanwala police stations. He listened to the public complaints and issued orders for their redressal. The masses pointed out the traffic issues and appealed to the RPO to increase the number of traffic policemen to solve the issues. Later, the RPO visited Mangtanwala police station singed the MOUs with a private hospital and a private educational institution.
Later, he met a delegation of the Morkhunda Press Club led by its President Chaudhry Ghulam Rasool. Talking to journalists, he said that the journalists should come forward to create awareness about the traffic issues. He assured to conduct a crackdown on the narcotic dealers in the area. He also met members of the Christian community. They thanked him for providing security for churches during their religious functions.
He also visited the under-construction building of Khidmat Markaz Centre. Earlier, the RPO visited Mandi Faizabad police station and met representatives of traders and peace committee. Speaking on the occasion, he said that open courts were being held to provide immediate justice to the masses at their doorsteps. DPO Syed Nadeem Abbas and SP Investigations Hina Naik Bakht were also present on the occasion.
