UK diplomat lauds quality of Pakistan IT companies
LAHORE:Head of the British High Commission Office in Lahore Mr Ben Warrington appreciated the quality of work of Pakistani IT companies and highlighted the available support to Pakistani IT companies participating in the upcoming London Tech Week in June 2025.
In a meeting with the Director General Punjab-I Ms Rafia Syed at the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) Lahore office, Mr Warrington particular emphasised on the emerging cluster of IT enterprises in Lahore.
Mr Warrington highlighted the role of the British High Commission network in supporting private sector led growth, including in Punjab. He highlighted available support to Pakistani IT companies participating in the upcoming London Tech Week in June 2025.
Ms Syed briefed Mr Warrington on upcoming initiatives in the tourism and logistics sectors and underscored potential avenues for collaboration between Pakistan and the UK in these areas. The discussion also covered the importance of skills development, with both sides recognising the value of partnerships between UK and Pakistani universities.
