LAHORE:Around 41 assistant superintendents of Punjab Prisons Department have been promoted to the rank of deputy superintendent. The promotions, issued under the directives of the Punjab Home Dept, also include new postings for the promoted officers.
According to official sources, the decision is part of the department's efforts to strengthen administrative efficiency and reward long-serving officials. Among those promoted are Shehzad Hussain, Shehzad Ahmad, M Rizwan, Tasawwar Iqbal, Khawar Abbas, M Iftikhar, M Shehbaz, Ulfat Naeem, M Ashfaq, Irfan Ali, M Asghar, M Younis, M Ahmad, Fakhar Zeeshan, Sarfraz Khan, Asghar Ali, Abid Ali, Anees, and M Irfan. Others on the promotion list include Ahmed Bilal, M Iqbal, M Saqib Elahi, Mohsin Ameen, Naveed Liaqat, Abdul Shakoor, Aamir Abbas, M Faraz, Yasir Hussain, Naveed Ahmed, Shehzad Aslam, Ahmer Siddiqui, M Zubair, Nouman, Qamar Abbas, Aamir Basheer, Waseem Abbas, Nadeem Iqbal, Arif Khalid, Sajjad Haider, Saqib Javed, and M Qamar Farooq. The promotions have been welcomed by officials across the prison system who views them as a much-needed morale booster and recognition of the officers' commitment to their duties.
