DIG stresses friendly police behaviour to solve people’s problems
MULTAN: Commandant Police Training College Multan DIG Gohar Mushtaq Bhutta emphasised the importance of a welcoming behaviour for police officers, stating that treating complainants with a cheerful and smiling face at the police station can psychologically ease half of their problems.
Addressing the graduating class of constables at the annual passing-out parade at the Police Training College here on Thursday, DIG Bhutta urged the young officers to cultivate honesty as a habit and uphold their self-respect in their field duties. He further stressed the police’s responsibility to safeguard the self-respect of those who come to them with grievances.
DIG Bhutta highlighted that the graduating cohort included the children of police martyrs, to whom he paid tribute. He announced that over 1500 young recruits from Punjab Police, Punjab Highway Patrol, Traffic Police, and the Police Band were commencing their field duties after completing rigorous training in crowd control, weapon handling, defence, and combat, equipping them to confront anti-social elements effectively. He hoped these young officers would embrace public service as their guiding principle. Gohar awarded certificates and prizes to the top-performing trainees.
