DIG summons 14 cops over inaction on complaints

LAHORE:Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations Faisal Kamran summoned 14 officers during an open court for not resolving the complaints of citizens at the police station level.
According to a police spokesperson, the Deputy Inspector General took notice of the complaints involving inheritance disputes, financial frauds, and altercations that had not been resolved so far.
The Deputy Inspector General directed the officers concerned to take immediate action and ensure timely justice at the grassroots level. He urged the public to report any misconduct directly to him and said there is no room in the department for officers who harass or ignore issues of citizens.
