PTI activists to be indicted on 20th
Final arguments will be given by lawyers of accused and prosecution in next hearing
ISLAMABAD: The court on Tuesday summoned all the accused for indictment after the Challans in five cases registered against PTI leaders on November 26 were submitted.
The accused will be indicted on May 20. Meanwhile, summons were issued to the accused in Secretariat Police Station, Karachi Company and Tarnol cases, while the hearing in the third case of the Secretariat Police Station was adjourned until June 12. The court adjourned the hearing in the Tarnol Police Station case until June 17 and the hearing in the Karachi Company Police Station case until June 19.
In another case, Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Tahir Abbas Supra summoned final arguments of the accused in the May 9 case against PTI leaders and workers. On Tuesday, during the hearing of the case filed against MNA Abdul Latif, former provincial minister Wazirzada Kailashi and advocate Talat Rizwana appeared in the court on behalf of PTI workers. As many as 342 statements were submitted by the accused. Final arguments will be given by the lawyers of the accused and the prosecution in the next hearing. The court adjourned the hearing until May 19.
