Three alleged facilitators of terrorists arrested
CHARSADDA: In a successful intelligence-based operation, the police in Shabqadar apprehended three alleged facilitators linked to a banned terrorist organisation.
The operation was conducted under the directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Charsadda, Suleman Zafar, and supervised by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Shabqadar, Riaz Khan. Acting on credible intelligence, police launched the targeted raid and detained three persons suspected of facilitating terrorist activities in the region.
The arrested suspects have been identified as Asif Ali alias Ansari, Muhammad Huzaifa alias Buzurg alias Fateh, and Salman alias Waqas.Police officials confirmed that the suspects had direct telephonic contact with senior leadership of a proscribed group based in Afghanistan.
Following the arrests, a subsequent search operation was carried out in the Sarokalay police jurisdiction, leading to the discovery and seizure of sophisticated weapons and explosive materials.Authorities said that further investigations were underway, and more arrests could follow based on the intelligence gathered from the detained individuals.
