MoU inked to support weddings of fallen cops’ wards
MINGORA: The Swat Police and HB Group of Companies signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Thursday to support the weddings of the children of fallen officials.
The agreement, signed at the office of the DPO, Swat, ensures that children of police martyrs would receive a 50 percent discount on furniture purchases at the time of their marriages.The initiative has been launched under the special directives of Inspector General of Police Zulfiqar Hameed and Regional Police Officer, Malakand, Sher Akbar Khan.
Speaking on the occasion, DPO Swat Muhammad Umar Khan described the initiative as a step toward fulfilling the moral and national obligation of recognizing and supporting the families of those who laid down their lives for peace and public safety.
“Our martyrs are national heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice. It is our duty to provide their children with the best possible facilities and ease their financial burdens,” said the DPO.He also expressed gratitude to HB Group CEO Malik Abdul Hameed Khan for his generous cooperation, noting that such partnerships are vital in extending meaningful support to the families of police martyrs. The DPO added that further efforts will be made to expand the range of benefits for these families in the future.
