Detention orders for 150 BYC, BNPM workers withdrawn
Sajid Tareen advocate says further hearing of petitions was postponed for Tuesday on request of prosecution
QUETTA: The Home Department of the government of Balochistan has withdraw the orders of MPO-3 against 150 detained workers and activists of Baloch Yakjehti Committee and BNP-Mengal but the order was not withdrawn against Dr. Mahrang Baloch and six others who were also detained on March 22 under MPO-3 in district jail Quetta.
The lawyers of the detained political workers including BYC Chief Organizer, Dr. Mahrang, who had filed petitions against their arrest in the Balochistan high court, told the Media on Monday. he division bench of the BHC comprising acting Chief Justice Ejaz Ahmed Swati and Justice Muhammad Aamir Rana heard the petitions while Kamran Murtaza advocate, Sajid Tareen advocate and Imran Baloch advocate appeared from the petitioners.
Sajid Tareen advocate told media that the further hearing of the petitions was postponed for Tuesday on the request of the prosecution. He said that the prosecution will defend its plea about the detention of Dr. Mahrang and six others under MPO-3 while the detention orders against others were withdrawn by the Home Department of the Balochistan government.
Those against the detention orders were not taken back by the Home Department, include Dr. Mahrang, Beebu Baloch, Gulzadi Baloch, Sabghat Ullah Shah Jee, Bebarg Baloch, Sanaullah Baloch and BNP’s Mama Ghaffar Baloch who is the father of Beebu Baloch.
