Junaid says Imran has barred MPAs from voting on minerals bill
Saif emphasised that Imran Khan, as most popular leader in country, must be included in national decision-making
PESHAWAR: President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Junaid Akbar, has said that the party’s founder Imran Khan has instructed party members not to vote on the proposed Mines and Minerals Bill 2025 until he meets with relevant stakeholders.
Speaking to Geo News, Akbar said Imran had issued clear directions that no progress on the bill should be made until a meeting was held with him.
He also said that a three-member committee had reviewed the bill and submitted its report to the party’s central leadership.
Meanwhile, Adviser to the KP Chief Minister on Information, Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, said that political briefings were incomplete without the PTI founder.
He emphasized that Imran Khan, as the most popular leader in the country, must be included in national decision-making.
“The baseless cases against him must be withdrawn. His participation is vital for unity and national solidarity,” Saif said.
He claimed that the current government, formed through a “fake mandate,” had failed to unite the country and accused it of using fascist tactics against the PTI.
