Bureaucracy reshuffled in KP

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government on Friday carried out a major reshuffle in the provincial bureaucracy, transferring 25 senior officers from grade 18 to 21.

As part of the notification, Adil Siddiq, a grade 21 officer serving as secretary of Auqaf, has been appointed as a member of the KP Service Tribunal; Khayyam-ul-Hassan has been posted as the chairman of the Provincial Inspection Team while Inayatullah Waseem (grade 20) has taken over as the new secretary of Auqaf. Khalid Ilyas has been appointed as the secretary of Excise and Taxation; Muhammad Khalid Khan Rana has been made special secretary for Planning and Development, while Raja Fazal Khaliq takes charge as special secretary for Local Government.

According to the notification, Abdul Basit was made special secretary for Elementary and Secondary Education, and Khuda Bakhsh was made a member of the Board of Revenue.

Manzoor Ahmad has been appointed as director general of the Pakistan Forest Institute; Hameedullah Shah will serve as director general of Protocol in the Administration Department.

Several new additional secretaries and deputy commissioners have also been posted: Shafiullah (Grade 19) becomes additional secretary and provincial coordinator for the Polio Emergency Operations Centre.

Muhammad Saeedullah, Noor-ul-Amin, Wajid Ali Khan, Khaliq Dad Khan and Khawas Khan have been assigned key roles in the departments of Transport, Establishment, Urban Planning, Higher Education, and KP Revenue Authority, respectively.

Syed Mazhar Ali Shah, Zahra Nigar, and BB Fatima have been appointed as additional secretaries in various departments.

Abdul Hameed is the new Managing Director of the Small Industries Development Board; Muhammad Faheem (Grade 18) has been appointed as the Deputy Commissioner of Bannu.

Fazal Rahim, Zahid Masood, and Nazar Jan have been given new roles as deputy secretaries in Communications, Social Welfare, and Universities, respectively.
