Murder suspect held

LAHORE:Mobile Squad of Thokar Niaz Baig Monday arrested a murder suspect from Shikarpur Kacha, Sindh, at the Jinnah Terminal bus station.

The suspect identified as Munthar Ali was involved in several cases of robbery, murder, and attempted murder. The accused made startling revelations regarding multiple crimes and confessed to killing a citizen in Shikarpur for refusing to pay extortion money. He had evaded Sindh Police and was hiding in Lahore. DIG Operations Faisal Kamran praised SP Dolphin Arsalan Zahid, DSP Mubashir Awan, and the police team for arresting the criminal.

Body recovered

A body was recovered from the Lahore Canal near Thokar Chowk on Monday. According to Rescue 1122, divers retrieved the body of a man and handed over it to police. Meanwhile, a woman died in a road accident at Scheme Morr on Multan Road on Monday. Reportedly, a bus hit three pedestrians, leaving a woman dead and two others injured. The identity of the dead was not ascertained so far and the injured were rushed to Jinnah Hospital.
