30,294 federal govt employees are women

Out of 56 women employees in Cabinet Division, 21 are officers and 35 lower ranking staff

ISLAMABAD: A total of 30,294 women are working in the federal ministries, divisions and departments. Out of these, 23,771 women are performing duties in Grade-1 to Grade-16, while 6,523 are holding positions in Grade-17 to 22.

According to an Establishment Division report, 1,665 women are working in Aviation Division, of which 68 are officers and 1,597 subordinate staff. Out of 56 women employees in Cabinet Division, 21 are officers and 35 lower ranking staff. Ministry of Climate Change has 21 women, of whom 15 are officers and six are lower ranking staff. Commerce Division has 42 women, of whom 25 are officers and 17 subordinate staff. Communications Division has 1,149 women employees, of whom 47 are officers and 1,102 subordinate staff. Ministry of Defence has 11,559 women, of whom 1,646 are officers and 9,913 lower ranking employees. Defence Production Division has 38 women, of whom six are officers and 32 subordinate staff. Economic Affairs Division has 48 women, of whom 15 are officers and 33 subordinate staff. Federal Ministry of Education has 5,788 women, of whom 2,332 are officers and 3,466 subordinate staff. There are 1217 women in Finance Division, out of which 322 are officers and 895 lower ranking employees. A total of 129 women are performing duties in Housing and Works Division. Out of these, 31 are officers and 98 subordinates. There are 231 women in Human Rights Division, out of which 82 are officers and 149 subordinate staff. Twenty-four women are working in the Ministry of Industries and Production, out of which seven are officers and 17 subordinates. In IT Division, there are eight women, out of which three are officers and five subordinate staff. Twenty-two women are in Inter-Provincial Coordination Division, out of which 12 are officers and ten subordinates. A total of 2,310 women are working in Ministry of Home Affairs, out of which 134 are officers and 2,185 subordinates. There are 8 women in the Ministry of Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan, out of which one is an officer and seven subordinates. A total of 111 women are working in Ministry of Law and Justice, out of which 28 are officers and 83 subordinates. There are 31 women in Ministry of Maritime Affairs. Out of these, 11 are officers and 20 subordinates. There are 150 women working in Narcotics Control Division, out of which 21 are officers and 129 subordinates. Eighty-one women are in National Food Security Division with 38 officers and 43 subordinates. A total of 2,048 women are performing duties in National Health Services Division, out of which 738 are officers and 1,310 subordinates. There are 35 women in Ministry of National Heritage and Culture, out of which 10 are officers and 25 lower ranking employees. One female officer is working in National Security Division. There are 63 women in Overseas Pakistanis Division, out of which 15 are officers and 48 subordinates. There are two female officers and six subordinates in the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs. Thirty-four women officers and 47 subordinates are working in Petroleum Division. A total of 410 women are in Ministry of Planning and Development, out of which 106 are officers and 304 subordinates. There is one officer and seven subordinates in Ministry of Poverty Alleviation. Only one female officer is working in Privatisation Division. The Railway Division has 1,025, of whom 80 are officers and 945 subordinates. Ministry of Religious Affairs has 27 women, of whom three are officers and 24 subordinates. Revenue Division has two officers and three subordinates. In FBR, 846 women are in Grade-1 to 16 and 470 in Grade-17 to 22. The total number is 1,312. The Ministry of Science and Technology has one woman officer and 12 subordinates. The SAFRON Division has six officers and six subordinates, while Natural Resources and Mineral Resources has three women officers and 11 lower ranking staff.
