4 terrorists killed, soldier martyred in DI Khan operation
Sanitisation operation is being conducted to eliminate any other kharji in area, says ISPR statement
RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed four khwarij while one soldier was martyred during conduct of an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Dera Ismail Khan.
On April 16, security forces conducted an IBO in general area Maddi, Dera Ismail Khan district, on reported presence of khwarij, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement. Troops effectively engaged the khwarij location and sent to hell four khwarij. However, during an intense fire exchange, one brave son of the soil, Sepoy Basit Siddique (23), resident of district Attock, embraced shahadat.
Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed khwarij, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area. Sanitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any other kharji in the area, the ISPR statement said.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for a successful operation against terrorists of Fitna al Khawarij in district Dera Ismail Khan. He lauded the security forces for killing four terrorists of Fitna al Khawarij and paid tribute to sepoy Basit Siddique of Pakistan Army on his martyrdom during the operation.
