ISLAMABAD: Senator Sirajul Haq, the Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), on Friday said that the statement of Director General, Rangers, with regard to involvement of political parties and important leaders in deterioration of law and order situation in Karachi should be taken seriously.
In a statement issued by the JI media office, the JI’s top leader said the points raised by the head of an important institution should serve as eye opener for the authorities concerned. “The statement of the head of Rangers should not be considered as just accusations, rather it has exposed the involvement of hands in the deteriorating law and order situation in the Sindh capital,” he said.
The JI leader said it would tantamount to playing with the future of Pakistan if disclosures made by DG Rangers were treated like press reports. “I call upon the judiciary, the government and police to take serious note of the disclosures and take culprits to task,” Sirajul Haq said.He said reports of smuggling of oil from money and alleged use of money donated by people in the shape of Zakat and skins of sacrificial animals should also be taken seriously.
