LAHORE:Social mobiliser teams of Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) are engaged with students to spread awareness about waste segregation, particularly the reduction of plastic waste.
The LWMC school awareness team briefed 1,000 students at Govt Girls High School, Rampura, on the importance of sanitation. Out of the students, 15 were selected and trained as Clean Campus Ambassadors to ensure cleanliness within their institution.
CEO Babar Sahib Din stated that, under the directives of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, activities such as waste picking and waste segregation have been introduced on school campuses as part of the Suthra Punjab campaign to provide children with practical training.
These trained students will play a key role in establishing a clean and healthy society. LWMC has consistently conducted special awareness campaigns in addition to providing sanitation facilities.
