ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has been summoned by the district and sessions courts of Islamabad for April 15 in pending bail pleas in attempted murder, fake receipts and other cases.
Additional Sessions Judge Afzal Majuka has ordered for production of the PTI founder in his court on April 15.
Meanwhile, the Adiala jail administration has formally requested special security arrangements for the upcoming court appearance of the PTI founder and former prime minister Imran Khan, who is currently serving a sentence in jail.
According to official sources, the jail superintendent has submitted a letter seeking enhanced security to facilitate Imran’s appearance before the Islamabad Sessions Court on April 15.
Meanwhile, Islamabad Police headquarters declined to comment on the security arrangements being made for Khan’s scheduled appearance. However, sources suggest that due to logistical and security concerns, Imran Khan may not be presented in the court on April 15.
