Tribal elders unite to tackle social evils
LANDIKOTAL: A group of tribal elders residing in Regi Lalma in Peshawar have expressed concern over the growing activities of anti-social elements and vowed to join hands with the authorities to curb illegal acts in the area.
Tribal elders and leaders from the Afridi, Shinwari, Mohmand, Khalil, Bajaur and other tribes attended the meeting which was chaired by Chairman of the Regi Lalma Eslahi Committee Shahenshah Afridi.
Khattak Khan Mohmand, Zahoor Khalil, Mian Noor Khan Mohmand, Zarif Khalil, former Town member Asad Shinwari, Naseem Kukikhel, Gul Ameen Mohmand, Mewa Khan Kukikhel, Fazal Dad Khalil, Abdul Rahman Afridi and others spoke on the occasion.
The tribal elders emphasized the importance of maintaining unity and cooperation among the tribes.
An official resolution was announced by the elders, stating their commitment to stand together to serve the community selflessly and to work towards the welfare and development of the region.
The meeting was informed that the Regi Lalma Eslahi committee was a registered committee working with authorities and enjoyed close liaison with deputy commissioner Peshawar.
