LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, while presiding over a meeting on Thursday to review progress on Asaan Karobar Finance and Asaan Karobar Card schemes, ordered for granting more business loans to spur entrepreneurship in the province.
She also ordered for simplifying both schemes and directed that loans should be granted to businesspeople as per their needs.
More than 80,000 loan applications had been approved for business finance scheme. Loans have been granted to 34,000 businesspeople through business finance and business cards. The CM also ordered to get feedback from all recipients of loans. She made surprise calls to the loan recipients during the meeting and spoke to them on phone.
CM Maryam Nawaz also congratulated Pakistani player Noor Zaman on winning Under-23 World Squash Championship.
