LAHORE: A 25-member delegation of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), led by Secretary General Ambassador Asad M Khan, will arrive in Lahore on April 12 for a two-day visit.
The ECO delegation will also have ambassadors from different countries who will be briefed about the cultural, art and tourism potential of Lahore. Lahore has been shortlisted as the “Tourism Capital” for the year 2027.
A delegation of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) will visit the Punjab Civil Secretariat on April 13. Chief Secretary Punjab Zahid Akhtar Zaman and Secretary Tourism will brief the delegation. The Punjab governor will host a lunch in honour of the delegation at the Governor House, Lahore, followed by a visit to the Lahore Chamber of Commerce.
After visiting the Punjab Information Technology Board, the ECO delegation will attend an event at Shalamar Bagh in the evening.
On April 14, the ECO delegation will visit the famous Delhi Gate and Masjid Wazir Khan in Lahore, after which they will have a special meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. The delegation will also visit Mazar-e-Iqbal, Badshahi Mosque and Shahi Qila, besides participating in the Culture Day Show at Al-Hamra Arts Council, Lahore.
The night will also see a cultural performance at Sheesh Mahal. The CCO delegation will return to Tehran on the 15th.
