Sikh yatrees from India arrive in Pakistan today

LAHORE:Sikh yatrees from India will arrive in Pakistan via Wagah Check Post today (Thursday), to participate in the Vaisakhi Mela and the 326th Khalsa Janam Din celebrations.
The main event of the Vaisakhi Mela, organised by the ETPB, Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, will be held on April 14 at Gurudwara Janam Asthan, Nankana Sahib. At the Wagah Border, Pradhan Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, PSGPC Secretary ETP Board Farid Iqbal, Additional Secretary Shrine Saifullah Khokhar, senior officials and other Sikh leaders will welcome them. To promote religious tourism, the government has issued visas to 6,751 yatrees, contrary to the agreement signed between Pakistan and India.
