Directive to expedite Tollinton Market upgrade

LAHORE:Lahore Development Authority (LDA) DG Tahir Farooq along with Deputy Commissioner Lahore Syed Musa Raza visited Tollinton Market here on Tuesday.

They reviewed the upgradation work in the market in detail. While giving a briefing, the project director said that a sewer was laid and a boundary wall was built on the back side. The upgradation work in the internal corridors of the market was nearing completion. He concluded that 50 percent of the work was completed. On this occasion, LDA DG Tahir Farooq directed the project director to expedite the work and submit a progress report on a daily basis.

He directed the DC Lahore to remove encroachments inside the market and implement SOPs. DC Lahore directed the officers to ensure the implementation of SOPs in collaboration with the market administration and take strict action against violations. Issues related to hanging wires and electricity should be resolved soon in collaboration with Lesco
