Pak Army, civil armed forces’ personnel to be deployed for PSL security
Ministry of Interior and Counter Narcotics has issued orders under decision of federal cabinet
ISLAMABAD: The federal government has decided to deploy the Pakistan Army and Civil Armed Forces for the security of the10th edition of PSL which will start from April 11.
According to sources, the Pakistan Army and Civil Armed Forces will also be deployed for the Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2025. The Ministry of Interior and Counter Narcotics has issued orders under the decision of the federal cabinet.
The Pakistan Army and Civil Armed Forces will be deployed for security and protection duties. The deployment of Pak Army will be under Article 245 of the Constitution, while the deployment of civil armed forces will be under the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997.
The Cabinet Division, provincial governments and the chief commissioner Islamabad had made requests regarding the appointment. The 10th edition of PSL will start on April 11 and the final will be played on May 18.
