MQM chief calls PM to greet him on slashing power rates
Dr Siddiqui contacted Federal Power Minister via telephone and greeted him for curtailing electricity prices
KARACHI: Muttahida Quami Movement Pakistan Chairman, Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, on Thursday night telephoned Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, to express gratitude to him for the federal government’s decision to slash the electricity tariff for domestic, industrial, and commercial consumers in the country.
The MQM Pakistan chief thanked the PM for fulfilling the demand of his party to slash the electricity rates for the concerned consumers facing economic hardships. Dr Siddiqui praised the efforts of the PM and Federal Power Minister Awais Leghari in this regard.
Dr Siddiqui said the federal government had taken a courageous step to extend due financial relief to the countrymen despite prevailing economic hardships. The MQM Pakistan Chairman also contacted the Federal Power Minister via telephone and greeted him for curtailing the electricity prices.
