Woman shot dead on her wedding day

LAHORE:A woman was shot dead on her wedding day by unidentified assailants in Mohlanwal Aziz Colony, Sundar, on Thursday. The victim, identified as 23-year old ‘A’ was shot in the head. According to initial reports, the woman was preparing for her wedding function when unidentified gunmen opened fire, fatally injuring her. The perpetrators managed to flee the scene before police arrived. Police shifted the body to the morgue via an Edhi ambulance.

Youth killed over minor issue

A young man was shot dead in the Masti Gate area following a minor argument. According to sources, the accused Jamshed had a brief altercation with Naveed, a local resident, before pulling out a pistol and shooting him. Naveed was seriously injured and rushed to hospital, where he died. Police registered a case.
