629 POs arrested in March
LAHORE:Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) Thursday released its performance report for the month of March 2025.
Last month, the Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) checked 3.7 million citizens using the e-Police Post App and arrested 629 proclaimed offenders (POs) and judicial absconders. It also checked 1.7 million vehicles, recovering 280 stolen vehicles and motorcycles.
Legal action was taken against 56,539 overloaded vehicles, and 1,192 vehicles were fined for illegal gas cylinder use. A total of 12,955 driving licences were issued, and 37 missing children were reunited with their families. The Punjab Highway Patrol removed 5,541 encroachments to improve traffic flow and assisted 13,646 passengers.
Additionally, Police Khidmat Marakaz provided services to 16,183 citizens. Seventy-two cases were registered for illegal firearm use, and drug-related recoveries included 989 liters of alcohol, 37,980 grams of charas, and 120 grams of ice.
