Iftar organised for families of police martyrs
PESHAWAR: An iftar dinner was organized at Malik Muhammad Saad Shaheed Police Lines on Wednesday for the families of police martyrs.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Zulfiqar Hameed, met with the children of the fallen officers and expressed solidarity with their families.
Senior police officials, including Additional IGPs Mohammad Ali Babakhel, Awal Khan, Alam Shinwari, and others, attended the event.
On behalf of the IGP, senior police officials distributed gifts, toys, and Eid presents among the children of the martyrs.
Speaking on the occasion, IGP Hameed paid tribute to the sacrifices of police personnel who laid down their lives for the safety and security of the nation.
He emphasized that supporting the families of the martyrs and injured officers (ghazis) was a top priority.
“The bravery and sacrifices of our police martyrs are the backbone of our security,” he said. “Ensuring the well-being of their families is our duty and a matter of great honour.”
