Woman allegedly kills husband in Nowshera
NOWSHERA: A woman killed her husband inside their home and fled with their four-month-old son, police officials said on Saturday.
Abbas Khan, son of Almir Khan and a resident of Bara in Khyber tribal district, told police that he received information that his 25-year-old brother, Marwan, had been murdered inside his rented house in Titarha, where he had been living with his wife. The couple had entered into a love marriage three years ago and had been residing in Akbarpura for the past year.
Neighbours reported hearing gunshots from the victim’s house early in the morning. Upon reaching the scene, Abbas found his brother lying on his charpoy, covered in blood. His brother’s wife, along with their infant son, was missing from the house.
The motive behind the murder remains unclear, and the police are investigating whether the wife carried out the crime herself or if someone else was involved.
