UoT Nowshera, SIDB ink MoU
PESHAWAR: A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the University of Technology Nowshera (UoT) and the Small Industries Development Board (SIDB) here on Wednesday.
The agreement was formally signed by Managing Director SIDB Habibullah Arif and Vice-Chancellor of UoT Nowshers Prof Dr Imran Khan, in the presence of Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Industries Abdul Karim Tordher.
An official communique said the agreement aims to foster collaboration between academia and industry, focusing on skills development, research and providing innovative solutions to support local industries. Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Fazal Muqeem, ex-president of the chamber Maqsood Anwar, Haji Waheed Arif Awan and other officials were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Special Assistant to Chief Minister Abdul Karim Tordher termed the agreement a milestone for opening new avenues for the students of UoT. “This agreement will be a significant step towards fostering effective collaboration between academia and industry,” he said.
