Bravery, professionalism of KP police lauded

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Provincial Minister of Public Health Engineering for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pakhtoon Yar Khan, Chief Secretary Shahab Ali Shah and Inspector General of Police Zulfiqar Hameed visited Dera Ismail Khan, where they attended a police darbar at Ijaz Shaheed Police Lines.

They were warmly welcomed by Regional Police Officer (RPO) Syed Ashfaq Anwar and District Police Officer (DPO) Dera Sajad Ahmad Sahabzada. A smartly turned-out police contingent presented a guard of honor to the distinguished guests.

Addressing the gathering, IGP Zulfiqar Hameed lauded the exceptional bravery and professionalism of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police, particularly the officers and personnel stationed in Dera Ismail Khan. He highlighted the force’s unwavering commitment to maintaining law and order despite challenging circumstances.

During the session, police personnel raised various concerns, especially regarding promotions and service-related issues. In response, IGP Zulfiqar Hameed attentively listened to their grievances and issued immediate directives for their resolution. He reassured the personnel that their welfare remains a top priority and that all legitimate concerns would be addressed on a priority basis.

The IGP also announced plans to establish new police stations and checkpoints in the region to further strengthen security measures and improve policing efficiency. “These new establishments will not only enhance police capabilities but also provide better security services to the public,” he stated.

Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shahab Ali Shah, in his address, praised the dedication and valor of the Dera Ismail Khan Police, emphasizing that the provincial government is committed to equipping the police force with all necessary resources to enhance their operational effectiveness.Later, Chief Secretary Shahab Ali Shah and IGP Zulfiqar Hameed chaired a high-level meeting with senior police officials at the Police Club in Dera Ismail Khan.
