IHC summons AGP for assistance in pleas against Peca Act
Court has fixed the three petitions for hearing on April 17
ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has summoned Attorney General of Pakistan (AGP) for assistance in connection with petition against Peca Act besides adjourning the hearing of the case.
Petition against Peca Act Amendment-2025 came up for hearing in IHC Wednesday. The IHC summoned AGP for assistance.
Adil Aziz Qazi, counsel for the petitioner, appeared in the court during the hearing of the case before Justice Inam Amin Minhas.
Justice Inam remarked more applications like this are there. We issue same order on them.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case.
It is pertinent to mention here petitions of PFUJ, IHC Journalists Association and others are pending hearing in the court as well. The court has fixed the three petitions for hearing on April 17.
