The decision to convene the joint session aligns with Article 56(3) of the Constitution, which mandates that the President address a joint session at the start of each parliamentary year.
The session will also provide an opportunity for the President to outline the government’s achievements and set the tone for the upcoming year.
Sources revealed that President Zardari’s speech will highlight the key accomplishments of the government over the past year, with a particular focus on economic policies and their impact. The address is expected to present a detailed account of the government’s performance, achievements, and the challenges ahead.
The upcoming session is anticipated to draw significant attention as it will offer an official assessment of the government’s progress and set the legislative agenda for the year.
