One cop killed, three injured in Peshawar IED blast

PESHAWAR: A policeman was killed and three others sustained injuries when a police mobile van was targeted with an improvised explosive device (IED) on Thursday. “The van was targetted near a police post in Garhi Sohbat Khan in the limits of Khazana Police Station,” said an official. Deputy Medical Superintendent (DMS) Emergency and Accident of Lady Reading Hospital Dr Saleem told The News that Constable Qayyum was killed and three policemen Junaid, Atlas and Asim were injured in the blast. He said the condition of Junaid was still critical.
