Santner predicts high-scoring final today
KARACHI: New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner Thursday said the final of the tri-nation series will be a high-scoring and 90 percent of the spectators will be against us.
Addressing a press conference at the National Stadium, the Kiwis captain said that Karachi wicket was very flat. He added that the final could be another high-scoring match. Long innings were played in the previous matches as well. We have not yet finalized our playing XI for the final against Pakistan.
Santner said that we got a good time to prepare before the final. We enjoy playing cricket in Pakistan a lot. The crowds in Karachi and Lahore are very enthusiastic and good. It seems that 99 percent of the crowd will be against us in the final as well. We played two matches in three days, we are a bit tired bur ready for the final.
He added that Rachan Ravindra, who was injured during the match in Lahore, was feeling better, but we do not want to take any hasty risks. Rachan’s health situation is being continuously monitored. New Zealand team did not practice under the floodlights.
