AMAN 2025 concludes with International Fleet Review
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir was chief guest on this occasion
KARACHI: The 9th multinational exercise AMAN 2025 organised by the Pakistan Navy has concluded with a spectacular International Fleet Review in the Northern Arabian Sea. Approximately 60 countries participated in AMAN 2025 with their naval warships, aircraft, marines, special operations forces and a large number of observers.
During the International Fleet Review, the Pakistan Navy and foreign naval vessels showcased a magnificent display of peace formations. Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir was the chief guest on this occasion. This exercise reflected Pakistan’s unwavering support for peace and cooperative security under the motto ‘United for Peace’. Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf welcomed the chief guest aboard the Pakistan Navy ship upon his arrival.
Sindh’s governor and chief minister, and the federal maritime affairs minister were also present on the occasion. The participating countries’ ambassadors and high commissioners, heads of foreign naval forces, senior military officers, and defence and naval attachés were also part of the event. The chief guest observed various operational exercises during the International Fleet Review. A spectacular fly-past by the Pakistan Navy, the Pakistan Air Force and the participating foreign aircraft was also presented during the fleet review.
Following the fly-past, a demonstration of the main and chair ship was conducted by the participating naval vessels. The exercise concluded with the traditional peace formation, symbolising a collective commitment to maritime security. The chief guest congratulated the Pakistan Navy on the successful hosting of AMAN 2025, and appreciated Pakistan’s commitment to promoting peace. He also thanked the participating regional and global naval forces for their commitment to cooperation in maritime security.
The chief guest emphasized that AMAN has emerged as a forum that has brought together all global geopolitical powers under the common objective of ‘Safe Seas, Prosperous Future’, as evidenced by the robust participation of naval forces from around the world in this exercise.
Moreover, the first peace dialogue held alongside the exercise provided naval leadership from around the world with an opportunity for mutual discussion on maritime issues.
