Call to set up juvenile justice bodies

LAHORE:Advocate Sarmad Ali, Chairman of Juvenile Justice and Child Rights Committee Lahore Bar Association, demanded Juvenile Justice Committees across all Sessions Divisions in Punjab.
The president of Lahore Bar Association had nominated a chairman for its Juvenile Justice and Child Rights Committee for the year 2025-2026, reaffirming its commitment to child protection under the Juvenile Justice System Act, 2018. Sarmad Ali Advocate said that Juvenile Justice System Act, 2018, enacted in May 2018 to replace the Juvenile Justice System Ordinance, 2000, aims to safeguard the best interests of children in conflict with the law.
