LAHORE:Youth Affairs and Sports Department Punjab organised a rally in Nishtar Park Sports Complex under on the eve of Kashmir Solidarity Day on Wednesday.
DG Youth Affairs and Sports Punjab Khizar Afzaal Chaudhry led the rally in which a large number of Directorate General Sports employees and officers participated to show solidarity with the Kashmiri brothers.
Addressing the rally, D Khizar Afzaal Chaudhry said that the purpose of this rally is to express solidarity with the Kashmiri brethren. All the Pakistanis have very emotional relation with the Kashmiris. “We will continue to extend every kind of support to Kashmiris till the time they get their freedom,” he added.
He said that the hockey, football and volleyball events have also been organised to show solidarity with the Kashmiri brothers and sisters. “We are quite confident that Kashmir will get freedom from India in near future,” he maintained.
Meanwhile, Punjab Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Faisal Khokhar, in his message on Kashmir Day, saluted the Kashmiris for their great struggle and determination. He said that definitely, Kashmir is a lifeline for Pakistan and the Kashmiris will achieve their freedom despite India’s cheap tactics. “We as a nation will continue to support the Kashmiri people in every possible way till they get their right to self-determination”. He said that every possible effort will be made to highlight the Kashmir issue at international level. “UN must ensure the implementation of its resolutions regarding self-determination of Kashmiris. India has ruined the lives of Kashmiris but the entire Pakistani nation is with Kashmiris in this testing time,” he added.

In connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day, a rally was organised under the leadership of Rubina Inam, Principal Nursing Ameer Uddin Medical College, Lahore General Hospital, in which faculty members and nursing students participated in large numbers.
The participants of the rally condemned India for violating international norms and ignoring the resolutions of international organisations contrary to the claims of secularism the way in which basic human rights were violated in India had no other example.
Principal Nursing College Lahore General Hospital Rubina Inam, while addressing the participants of the rally, said that Kashmir is the vein of Pakistan and we stand by our Kashmiri brothers and sisters in their freedom struggle. She said that the right of self-determination is the fundamental need of the Kashmiris for which the Pakistani nation will continue to support them at every forum. Rubina Inam strongly condemned the atrocities being inflicted on the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and said that Kashmiris are being crushed in the mill of oppression and their courage, patience and struggle for independence will be written in golden words. She said that on the instructions of Lahore General Hospital Principal Prof Dr Al-Fareed Zafar the medical staff has recorded protest, which is a reiteration of the fact that every Pakistani citizen stood with their Kashmiri brothers in the past, present and future as well.
Meanwhile, Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) chief Hafiz Saad Hussain Rizvi, in a statement on Kashmir Solidarity Day, reaffirmed support for the oppressed people of Held Kashmir. He stated that despite 76 years, Kashmiris continue their struggle against India's oppressive rule.
He emphasised that Kashmir’s freedom is only possible through jihad and pledged unwavering support for the Kashmiri cause. He urged the Pakistani nation to stand with Kashmiris and called on the government to take effective steps to highlight the issue globally. Rizvi vowed that the day is not far when Pakistan’s flag will be hoisted in Srinagar.
Meanwhile, Punjab Auqaf Secretary Dr Tahir Raza Bukhari has said that religious segments will continue raising voice for Kashmiri people for their right to self-determination. A special ceremony, rally and Dua were held at Data Darbar in connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day here on Wednesday.
The secretary said, ‘We fully support just demand of right to self-determination of people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). Glowing tribute was paid to all those Kashmiri people who rendered sacrifices for their just cause, freedom.
