LAKKI MARWAT: Four cops were injured in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast targeting a police van in the Manjiwala area in the Lakki Marwat district.

It was learnt that the police van was hit by an IED explosion in the Manjiwala area, injuring four cops traveling in the vehicle. The injured were rushed to a hospital in Bannu. Regional Police Officer (RPO) Imran Shahid rushed to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Bannu to visit the injured personnel.

RPO Imran Shahid visited the injured at DHQ Hospital in Bannu, inquiring about their condition and directing medical staff to provide them with the best medical treatment. The injured were stated to be in stable condition now.

The RPO said that the morale of the Bannu Region Police remained high and said such cowardly acts of terrorism would not weaken their resolve and vowed to bring the perpetrators to justice. Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed also contacted the injured cops via phone.
