PARACHINAR/ PESHAWAR: Three separate FIRs were registered, and two people were arrested on Saturday a day after a firing incident in Bushera area in Kurram in which an assistant commissioner was injured. The incident, which occurred on Friday, had left two people injured and escalated into a series of shootings involving different factions.
Authorities are continuing efforts to apprehend more suspects. The police confirmed that the issuance of national ID cards, domicile certificates and passports for the Bushera tribe, along with all other government services, has been temporarily suspended until further notice.
The funeral for the slain police constable, Syed Ashiq Hussain, who died during a sniper attack while on security duty in Bushera, was held at the DPO office in Parachinar with full state honours. Following the funeral, his body was laid to rest in his native town of Noorkhel.
