MNAs’ salaries to rise from Jan 1
However, there would no increase in salaries of speaker and deputy speaker of National Assembly

ISLAMABAD: The recent decision of the National Assembly’s finance committee, headed by Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, regarding increase in salaries of the MNAs will become effective from January 1, 2025.
According to parliamentary sources, the NA speaker signed the decision of the finance committee to increase the MNAs’ salaries after approval from the prime minister.
However, there would no increase in salaries of speaker and deputy speaker of the National Assembly. The increase in MNAs’ salaries was made after nine years. Under the revised structure, MNAs will receive a monthly salary of Rs519,000, bringing their pay in line with that of a federal secretary.
