Actor, singer Fakhar-e-Alam’s house in Karachi robbed
Renowned Pakistani actor, singer and TV host Fakhar-e-Alam’s house in Karachi was robbed on Wednesday. Police are yet to arrest the suspects. Alam confirmed the robbery in a post on the micro-blogging website X.
“My home in Karachi has been robbed,” reads his post. “Police are on the scene and an investigation is underway. It is unsettling and deeply upsetting. I am hoping that culprits are apprehended. Things don’t matter to me but peace of mind is priceless. That is the real loss here. For everyone else please remain vigilant.”
Police said that three to four suspects gained entry to the house by breaking the locks, and proceeded to loot the house. The household staff was drugged through food, causing them to lose consciousness.
The robbers were reportedly unarmed. Police have inspected the crime scene as part of their investigation. The staff or the house owners have not provided a detailed list of the stolen items yet, said the police.
Alam is reportedly abroad, and the police believe that the case may be formally registered after his return. An investigation is under way to trace the suspects and recover the stolen items.
