Man sentenced to death for killing journalist

CHARSADDA: A local court here on Wednesday sentenced a man to death on four counts for killing a Ihsan Sherpao.
The court handed down three-year imprisonment to an accomplice of the convict, who provided the weapon used in the crime.Additional District and Sessions Judge Nusrat Naz announced the verdict in the case, sentencing Arshad Jamal to death on four counts for the 2018 murder of senior journalist Ihsan Sherpao.
The court sentenced his accomplice Sikandar Khan, who supplied the weapon used in the crime, to three years in prison.The murder was committed on October 30, 2018, when Arshad Jamal opened fire on Ihsan Sherpao when he was on his way to work, killing him on the spot.
