PPP’s demands remain unaddressed: governor
LAHORE : Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider has said despite PPP's support, its demands remain unaddressed, citing past disappointments with the PML-N.
A delegation led by Edwin Sahutra, vice-president of the PPP Minority Wing Punjab and Preston Michael, head of a US organisation working for the welfare of poor, called on the Punjab governor here on Saturday.
The governor emphasised the importance of constructive criticism to improve government performance, expressing concern that hasty decisions often backfire.
He urged patience and tolerance in negotiations between the PTI and the government, emphasising the people's role in evaluating the current government's performance. He acknowledged the Christian community's significant contributions to Pakistan's development and praised the US organisation's humanitarian work, encouraging support for organisations serving humanity. He said it is important to encourage organisations that serve humanity.
The governor said that those who dedicate their lives to humanity are great. The delegation comprised Preston Todd, Jeremy Luckie, James Peterd, Caitlin Laird and others.
