This letter refers to the news report ‘Pakistan, Bangladesh keen on boosting military ties’ (January 15, 2025). According to the report, representatives from both countries have emphasised stronger and resilient defence and military ties going forward. We ought to take measures to promote stronger and more resilient civilian or people-to-people ties between the two brotherly countries as well.
Both countries could coordinate their efforts to control population growth as they face climate change and resource deficiency issues.
