LALAMUSA: Under the banner of the All Government Employees Grand Alliance (AGEGA), teachers and government employees from Gujrat district staged a demonstration to demand their rights.
The protest, which saw a significant turnout, included a rally from the Government Elementary College (QAED) to the Gujrat Press Club where the demonstrators voiced their grievances. Carrying banners and chanting slogans, the participants called for the reversal of what they termed “anti-employee policies,” including cuts to pensions and gratuities, the elimination of leave encashment, the abolition of Rule 17-A, and the privatisation of educational institutions.
