LWMC launches door-to-door waste collection drive
LAHORE : The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) has launched a door-to-door waste collection drive across various areas of Lahore.
LWMC Chief Executive Officer Babar Sahib Din in a statement said 10 loader rickshaws each have been deployed for door-to-door waste collection in Union Councils 153 and 141.
He said two new UCs are being added daily to the initiative, aiming to cover all 274 UCs of Lahore in phases.
He visited Shalimar Link Road, Muslim Colony, Ramgarh, and Angoori Bagh to review the waste collection process.
He also reviewed areas like Gulshan Park, Hameed Pura, Nabipura, and Fateh Garh to assess the working of the loader rickshaws.
He also engaged with local shopkeepers and residents, encouraging them to support the initiative. The CEO urged citizens to cooperate with Lahore Waste Management Company cleaning teams and avoid discarding waste in streets.
