Child’s body found

LAHORE: The body of an 8-month-old baby was discovered in a vacant plot in the Nishter Colony area of Lahore on Monday.

An Edhi Foundation spokesperson said that the baby, whose identity remains unknown, was found abandoned in the area of Sofiaabad. Authorities were alerted, and police conducted a thorough investigation at the scene. Following the police's preliminary investigation, the body was handed over to Edhi volunteers, who transferred it to the morgue for further examination.

Edhi spokespersons have yet to provide additional details regarding the circumstances surrounding the child’s death. Police are continuing their investigation to determine the cause and identify the baby.
