Police officials penalised; issued warnings
LAHORE : Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations Muhammad Faisal Kamran held a hearing at Police Lines Qila Gujjar Singh during which responses were sought on 16 show cause notices issued to officers and personnel.
During the hearing, five officials were issued final warnings, and three were penalised with salary deductions and increment stoppages.
Faisal Kamran emphasised that departmental accountability plays a crucial role in enhancing the performance of the force. He stated that personnel who perform their duties diligently will be fully encouraged, while there is no place for incompetent or corrupt officials in the department.
He added that police officers and personnel who misuse their authority are enemies of both the public and the police force. Zero tolerance will be observed for corruption and abuse of power, and violators will face strict accountability.
